the roads are rough the weather's tough i love it here the soil is full of rocks my car is up on blocks i love it here the pace is slow don't lock my door i'm never leavin' here anymore no wall to wall carpets we got mats on the floor i love it here yeah, the wind is always blowing and half the year it's snowing i love it here the folks i've i've met are kind and though i know my love is blind still, i love it here i'm afraid of the ocean though i live by the sea i don't want them waves to be washing over me i'll never be a fisherman, man they works too damn hard but i'm gonna get a big ole boat and put it in my yard, yes i will.. the astrovan is rusted, my bank account is busted i love it here the population's dwindlin', i'm runnin' low on kindlin' i love it here the air is sweet, my life's complete although the snow is five feet deep can't leave my driveway 'cause the pitch is too steep, hey, hey i'm stuck down here, i'm never in a rush, think today i'll burn some brush i love it here got to drive to the dump, and pick up my sump pump i love it here it's finally spring for goodness sake in my basement there's a lake well, well, well... i'm afraid of the ocean though i live by the sea i don't want them waves to be washing over me i'll never be a fisherman, man they works too damn hard but i'm gonna get me a big ole Cape and put it in my yard, yes i will.. i'm diggin' every tree every bird and bumble bee i love it here the codfish's gone away but folks i'm here to stay i love it here you better believe me 'cause it's true my nose is turnin' blue down home in blandford nova scotia |
